LA Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant took to Twitter to respond to Michael Jordan's claims that he "stole all his moves." And the five-time NBA champion didn't deny imitating the Chicago Bulls legend, but said it was all part of the cycle that sees the best copy the best.
Speaking to the Associated Press, Jordan said he didn't think he'd lose in a one-on-one pick up game against legends like Jerry West, Julius Erving and modern day greats like LeBron James. Although he did say that Kobe may have been able beat him - but only because he copied all his best moves.
Bryant didn't take long to respond though, writing on his Twitter account: "Domino effect. I stole some of his…this generation stole some of mine #thecycle"
The 35-year-old is working his way back to full fitness after tearing his achilles tendon towards the end of last season. The 2008 MVP also took aim at the latest ESPN rankings that placed the Lakers 12th in the Western Conference. It looks like that could be motivation enough for Bryant who simply tweeted: "12th".
A date has not been set for his return from injury, and the Lakers insist they will not rush him back despite the departure of All-Star centre Dwight Howard to the Houston Rockets over the summer.
