If you thought footballers' predilection for brightly-coloured boots couldn't get any more outlandish, then brace yourself for the sight of this pair from adidas.
The German sportswear company has teamed up with fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto, the person behind the adidas Y-3 fashion brand, to create the limited edition adizero f50 - a boot so ostentatious even Cristiano Ronaldo might think twice before wearing them.
Only 2,000 pairs of the visually striking f50s will be available globally when they go on sale this coming Monday (October 28).

The front of the boot displays a pair of imperial lion-dogs, who guarded the emperors of Japan in ancient times, combined with robotic elements from the country's modern sci-fi culture.
Yohji Yamamoto explained: 'My inspiration is a mixture of ancient traditions and modern sci-fi from Japanese culture.
'I hope the inspiration of the boot harmonises the players and gives them extra confidence to express themselves without any fear. People should feel free to express themselves. Just follow your own instinct.'
The Japanese designer isn't the first (and is unlikely to be the last) to create a pair of unsightly boots that would look more suited to a day-glo rave than a football pitch, here's some of the worst:
